My mom purchased a really nice camera for photography and we have been messing around with it using Addie as our model to see how well the camera takes pictures, so here are a few that we took.

To those who have been harassing me about updating my blog.... I know that I'm like the worst blogger in the world; seeing as this is only my third post in, oh I don't know 5 months!!! I'm sure you won't believe me when I say that I've just been busy, so I'm not going to make any excuses but just somewhat of a promise that I will try my hardest to keep my blog updated :)

Our lives in a nutshell; 7 weeks ago we celebrated the birth of our darling Adelynn Marie Jense, we are the happiest parents ever! She has brought so much joy to our lives. I was apprehensive to become a stay at home mom, wondering how I would keep myself busy (lol) now I just look back at my ignorant self and laugh. Up until I had Addie around; I was working, going to Aesthetic school at Acaydia to earn my basic Aestitician licence, and preparing for her arrival. By the last month of my pregnancy I wasn't as nervous about getting an epidural or any shots for that matter (for those who know me, I have an extreme fear of needles) I just wanted my inconveniences of being pregnant to end i.e. back pain! However, by the time my labor pains started (7 am in the morning, 4 pm the pains were every 5 min) and I had to go to the hospital only to be sent home shortly thereafter because I was one week early and my water hadn't broke, I layed in my bed at home drugged with morphine to subside my pain (FYI: it doesn't help with the labor pain, it only makes you extremely loopy and tired!) until my water broke 1 hour later and we were on our way back to the hospital!!! When we arrived at the hospital we pulled up to the emergency doors and Chris ran inside to get a wheelchair (this was what they taught us at our prenatal class), he came back out saying that there weren't any wheelchairs available. Holy crap, was this some kind of sick joke, what kind of hospital didn't have any wheelchairs available! Needless to say, I had to walk into the hospital with my clothes soaked and go up to the labor and delivery floor without a wheelchair... As soon as we checked in with the nurse I told her that I wanted that epidural ASAP and by 2 am I was dilated to 10cm and started pushing until 5:30 am. It was all worth it in the end because we got to meet our little sweetheart Adelynn :) 7 lbs 13 oz and 18 1/2 inches long
